– A practical method on how to approach and connect personally with a new monologue and a character.
– A grounding process that will assist you to delve deeper and discover your archetypal sounds and moving qualities that will flow into your character and text effortlessly.
Yorgos works with the exhilarating sense of freedom and release that performers experience when they dive inside the body. Through durational practices, performers open up physically and emotionally, ground themselves down, and discover their own essence and qualities (mind, body, voice, emotion/energy).
They experience themselves in full capacity, which is often hidden under layers of performing habits, emotional resistance or simply trying too hard.
From that freeing place, moving, acting, improvising and performing is impulsive, enjoyable and effortless.
This practice also applies to film work, as it brings performers and actors to a grounded, realistic place.
